Verrazanos Banquet and Private Dining Contract/Information
Receipt of a signed contract and deposit will secure the date(s).
A deposit is required to confirm your reservation in the amount of $200.00 ($750.00 for receptions). The deposit is refundable up to three (3) days after the initial reservation this deposit will be deducted from the balance due at the conclusion of the event (balance for receptions due 10 days prior to the event, with any remaining balance due at the conclusion of the event). Your deposit is non-refundable if event is canceled. If you cancel less than 48 hours to your event, you will be charged 100% of the total bill.
Verrazanos has a food minimum of $750 per room for evening banquets and $500 for daytime banquets completed by 4:30 pm. This price does not include 9.4% sales tax, 20% gratuity, service charges (rooms and labor), or any special arrangements. Parties under 25 guests can choose to have a flat $100.00 room fee instead of meeting the room minimum (Sunday - Wednesday).
A guaranteed minimum head count and menu choice is required one week prior to your event date. Final billing will be based on this number or the actual number of guests that attend the function, whichever is greater. Any special arrangements made through Verrazanos (i.e. audio-visual equipment, specialty cakes, floral arrangements, etc) must be paid for in full at the conclusion of the event.
Menu prices are subject to change. Signed contract menu prices will be honored. We strive to accommodate our guest’s requests; your additions or substitutions may require additional costs. Menu selections should be confirmed one week prior to your event date. No food or beverage may be consumed in the restaurant other than provided by Verrazanos or a licensed bakery. Due to health code regulations, food may not be removed from the facility. No beer, wine or alcohol may be removed from the event space. All food and beverage is subject to 20% gratuity and applicable sales tax.
The final bill is due at the conclusion of the event (Estimated payment for weddings/receptions is due 10 prior to the event with the final bill due the day of the event.). Personal and business checks are not accepted.
This agreement is void if it cannot be performed due to uncontrollable circumstances by Verrazanos. If food or services specified cannot be furnished due to such circumstances, at Verrazanos sole discretion, other food and service may be substituted at prices ordinarily charged for them, but in no excess of the agree upon price.
Audio-Visual Equipment: We can supply audio visual equipment for a fee
Rentals: Verrazanos can rent a wide variety of items required for you event. All rental charges will have a 10% surcharge added to the bill.
Wedding Ceremonies: Verrazanos offers a patio overlooking Poverty Bay and the Olympic Mountains. It is available for wedding ceremonies for a fee of $300. We do supply chairs for up to 100 guests.
Music: If you have a group or d.j. you would like to book for your event, we reserve the right to control volume and content of the music performed. A $150 setup fee is accessed to accommodate entertainers and a dancing area.
Flowers & Decorations: We are more than happy to accommodate special requests for flowers and additional decorations. Subject to event scheduling, by arrangement only, we do allow guests into the banquet room prior to a scheduled event. Verrazanos does not allow anything to be attached to the walls.
Wedding Cakes and Specialty Cakes: Verrazanos does not offer wedding cakes or specialty cakes. We are more than happy to recommend a licensed bakery at your request, or we can order a cake from our purveyors to your specification. If you would like to provide you own cake, Verrazanos staff will plate and serve your cake at $2.00 per plate charge.
Bar Charges: Any banquet featuring a no-host bar will have a $100.00 fee. Contact Verrazanos for additional information regarding bar options.
Off-site catering differs in menu pricing and service charges. We would be more than happy to review menu options and considerations for you next event.
STIPULATIONS
You will be responsible for the behavior of your guests, including payment for any damages resulting from guest behavior. Verrazanos is not responsible for loss or damage to any property brought into or left in the restaurant by an organization or its guests.
NONPAYMENT
Under Washington Law, any person who willfully obtains food or beverage at a restaurant without paying, with intent to defraud the proprietor, is guilty of a crime. In the event of non-payment, Verrazanos will enforce its full legal remedies in accordance with applicable laws.
